Embroidery

Embroidery is the most durable, yet exclusive means of branding. Using the latest multi-head Japanese machinery we can embroider virtually any item of apparel on any area of the garment. From T-shirts and Polos, Jackets, Fleeces and Workwear to caps and overalls. If you can think of it, we can probably embroider it.

Our in-house design studio staff will render your logo or artwork - a technique known as ”punching“ - and generate a computerised template for machine production. This process ensures optimum machine output, so your branding has high definition and resolution. And, by using different stitching techniques we can create depth and texture in the embroidery.

Along the way, we ask you to approve samples of how the finished product will look, giving you the opportunity to have control over the final style and appearance. All you need do is provide us with your logo via e-mail or on a letterhead or compliment slip. We’ll do the rest.

Advantages - looks classy on expensive garments, multiple colours don't cost any more to set up. The most cost effective method to apply a small multi coloured to either a short or long run of garments of varying materials

Disadvantages - the cost per logo is greater than screen printing, very large designs are often impractical or costly, not always suitable for fabics like thin t-shirts, and very stretchy items. Therefore we would advise another medium to be more cost effective dependant upon individuality, colours required and of coursse quantity of garments.

Logos are digitised and simplified to get the best combination of colours and appearance. Designs with graduations and very small details are not suitable for exact reproduction and sometimes full colour printing is a better alternative. If in doubt send us a copy of your logo.

Pricing

Just like printing there are cost incurred setting up a new job.

1. Digitising

This is a one off contribution towards artwork and the time taken to digitize your logo and is stored with us electronically, there will be no need to pay another setup charge on repeat orders. Digitising is normally charged at £6 per 1,000 stitches (normally £10+). An average left breast club logo is approximately 8,000 stitches.

2. Stitching the logo

This is the cost of applying the logo to the garment, bag or hat. The per item charge is calculated by - the number of items to be embroidered with the same logo and the number of stitches in the logo:

3. Monogramming

If you require individual names applying to your garments there are no set up charges. Simply supply a list of names specifying the colour of the thread and the size and colour of the garment for each name. Choose a font style for the lettering, and we do the rest.

1st line of text £5 (up to 10 cm wide any number of letters) Extra lines £1.00 each.

Large embroidered text on the back of jackets, fleeces and shirts such as SECURITY or STAFF depends on the amount of stitches and quantity of garments and could start from as little as £5.00 per garment.

Email us your requirements and we will respond by return.

 Screen Printing

Screen Printing involves producing screens for each ink colour required, making it a cost-effective means of branding large quantities of garments - ideal for promotional wear and if you are looking for a design to cover a large area.

Artwork requirements for screen printing are more complex than for embroidery.  Artwork should be in a vector graphic form, as conventional JPG‘s, GIF‘s, BMP‘s etc, all degrade when enlarged to T-shirt size.

We‘d be happy to advise on this, so please ask if you need clarification.

Advantages - very affordable, perfect for large designs

Disadvantages - not economical for small orders with more than a one colour design, not the best for fine detail and full colour

Screen printing is the best method for garments with large designs and economical when you have large print runs.

The process puts one colour on the garment after another. Each colour requires an individual screen. Each position printed, such as front left breast and back print requires different screens.

Screen printed logos wash and last well, often longer than the shirts they are printed on.

Pricing

Screen charge is a 'one off' charge since the artwork is stored for future use. If you wanted to place another order in the future with the same design there will be no setup charge.

Screens charged at £40 per screen.

We require a minimum of 25 garments for printing.

Print Costs are per screen per colour

A detailed quote will be given at the time of ordering

Transfers

Transfer Print and Sublimation is ideal for lower quantities, producing clear, detailed results and more distinct colours than screen print, without the set-up cost of producing screens. Again, if you‘re looking to reproduce a logo, we require your artwork in a vector graphic format.

Advantages - the only economical method for names and numbers on the back of shirts.

Disadvantages - more expensive than screen printing, especially for large designs & not always suitable for all waterproof materials.

Transfer printing should not be overlooked as a method for garment decoration.

We offer the following transfers types:

Hot Split, Cold Peel, Plotter Vinyl
